At SECU Financial Partners, Jon is committed to a holistic approach—listening carefully to members’ goals and creating strategies that integrate investment planning, retirement readiness, insurance protection, and estate considerations. His mission is to be a true partner, helping SECU members make confident decisions that align with their long-term financial and personal aspirations.
Throughout his career, Jon has held senior advisory roles with leading financial institutions. At BB&T (now Truist), he spent a decade advising high-net-worth clients on wealth management strategies, from portfolio diversification and estate planning to specialized banking and insurance solutions. Prior to that, he served nearly 10 years at SunTrust, where he focused on physicians, attorneys, and other professionals, providing tailored financial guidance that addressed both personal and business needs. Jon began his career with American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise Financial), where he built a thriving advisory practice centered on disciplined portfolio management and retirement planning.
Jon is a graduate of Penn State University and earned an executive certificate in financial planning from Georgetown University’s Center for Professional Development. He maintains his Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations through LPL Financial, as well as Life & Health and Variable Annuities Licenses. His credentials reflect a deep commitment to professional excellence and continuing education in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
A Maryland native, Jon lives in Clarksburg with his wife and two children. Away from the office, he enjoys spending time on the Eastern Shore, where his family is often out on the water or exploring the outdoors. An avid runner and fitness enthusiast, Jon believes balance and well-being are as important to long-term success as financial discipline—values he brings into his work with SECU members every day.
